Service Dogs
Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The service dog is not a pet, and is specifically trained to assist the handler with something directly related to his or her needs. If your dog has the right temperament, and the aptitude to reach the goals you desire, we are equipped with the expertise to train your dog on how to perform various tasks such as public access readiness, emergency response, physical assistance, and more. If you have not yet purchased a dog, we also can train and supply you with the right dog that fits your individual needs.
Therapy Dogs
A therapy dog is trained to provide affection, comfort, and support to other people often in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospices, or disaster areas. Handlers of therapy dogs typically work with specific organizations and are required to meet set standards and be certified and registered. If your dog has the right temperament of a therapy dog, we can prepare you and your dog to meet the specific standards of your upcoming certification. If you have not picked out a dog yet we would be happy to help you determine which breeds and temperaments are ideal for this kind of work and can work alongside you to train the perfect therapy dog.
Protection Dogs
Protection dogs are trained to protect and defend their family in any situation they feel is threatening. Contrary to popular belief, protection dogs are awesome family dogs, and act both as companions and as built in security systems for you and your household. If your dog has the right temperament we can train you and your dog on how to develop these specialty skills. If you do not own a protection dog, you can purchase a fully trained protection dog from Top Dog that can serve as your loyal companion and skilled protector.
